GAINESVILLE, Fla., September 15, 2016 — Staying true to its commitment to community banking and the communities in which it serves, Harbor Community Bank today announced its support for expanded community relief efforts outside its current Florida market to include recent Louisiana flood victims. Harbor’s North Central Market President Bob Page, along with Gainesville resident and long-time friend Jon Dean, recently led such efforts.
With Harbor Community Bank’s support, the duo — along with several Harbor Community Bank volunteers — gathered together food, water and much-needed supplies to aid Louisiana residents deeply impacted by the flooding. In addition to these supplies, Bob Page and his team contributed an additional $1,000 to this worthwhile cause.
“Our senior management and entire staff applaud the efforts of Bob Page and his team to partner with members of his community to assist those in need. Becoming involved in activities like this emphasizes their dedication to serve the community, something we believe community banks do so well,” said Harbor Community Bank President Hal Roberts.
